First-Party Analytics

PassCV uses privacy-preserving first-party analytics to understand basic product usage and improve reliability. Analytics events are sent from your browser to our own backend endpoint first, where the payload is limited before it is forwarded to our analytics system.

These analytics events do not include your email address, user ID, CV content, job descriptions, raw referrer URLs, full query strings, or a persistent analytics session identifier. We do not use analytics for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.

Third-Party Services

Some features of our service rely on third-party providers that may set their own cookies:

• LemonSqueezy — Our payment processor may set cookies during checkout to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
• OpenAI — API calls to OpenAI for AI-powered CV enhancement are server-side and do not set cookies in your browser.
• Goman analytics infrastructure — Analytics events are proxied through our backend before being forwarded in a minimized form. This service does not receive browser cookies from PassCV.

We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective providers' privacy policies for more information.

Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit our site, you will see a cookie consent banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can reset your preference by clearing your browser's local storage.

Signed-in users can disable first-party analytics in Settings. The preference is stored in local storage as analytics-opt-out. If enabled, PassCV will stop sending analytics events from that browser.
